Cox Community Concert Presents

The Arkansas Music Pavilion (AMP) and Cox Communications announced a major partnership on February 12th, 2009, to start building anticipation around the 2009 summer concert season, as well as to unveil this year’s act to perform at the third annual Cox Community Concert.

The Cox Community Concert—a headlining event that treats the public to top-notch live music—will benefit and bring visibility to two excellent organizations that support young people from all over the northwest Arkansas region: Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Arkansas and The Jones Center. The concert will be held on the evening of September 5, 2009, and will be free to the public.

The AMP and Cox Communications are proud to announce that the Cox Community Concert will be an official stop on the Collin Raye and Restless Heart Tour 2009. These headliner country artists have produced a combined total of 42 top ten hits, nine platinum and gold albums, 21 number one hits, and twelve CMA nominations. The audience will have the opportunity to hear the fantastic melodies of one band and two outstanding acts in a show attracting great audiences in the United States and abroad.

“This continues our commitment to knowing our role in the community and our leadership in doing what's right and making what is good even better. The AMP’s partnership with Cox and area non-profits to create the Cox Community Concert is a prime example of how local organizations and corporations can work together to raise awareness for great causes. We plan to make this something that will always be part of the AMP Soundtrack," says Brian Crowne, owner of the AMP.

Jacob Hutson, executive director of the Benton County Boys & Girls Clubs says, "Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Arkansas are excited about the opportunity to partner with Cox Communications and The AMP, two incredible organizations that are dedicated to making a difference in Northwest Arkansas."

"The Jones Center is very pleased to partner with Cox Communications, The AMP and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northwest Arkansas for this summer's Cox Community Concert. It will be a wonderful opportunity to help raise awareness for The Jones Center and ultimately serve more families. We look forward to the partnership!" said Kelly Kemp-McLintock, Jones Center chief advancement officer.

"Cox Communications believes that investing in the communities where our customers and employees live and work is critical to the quality of life for all of us. We are proud to help bring attention and support to the great work done by Boys & Girls Clubs and The Jones Center—while also publicly saying thank you to our customers with a top-notch musical event all ages can enjoy," says Kelly Zega, director of public affairs for Cox Arkansas.
